Floor Jansen: Eu estou orgulhosa e feliz de anunciar que eu estarei participando do programa holandês “Best Singers”. Esse programa é todo sobre música e canto, e apesar de seu nome, não tem nada a ver com quem é o melhor. 7 cantores participam e vão cantar a música uns dos outros mas com seu próprio estilo.

Eu acho muito legal que eles me convidaram, como uma cantora de metal, de fazer parte do programa. Como vocês podem saber sobre mim, eu acho que é uma pena que a mídia popular dos Países Baixos tem evitado a nossa música por tantos anos.

O “estigma” metal faz com que muitas ótimas canções nunca sejam ouvidas por uma audiência grande. Como embaixadora se boa música eu acho que todos devem ter acesso a mais músicas diversas, e depois ficar para o ouvinte se ele gostou ou não.

Atualmente essa opção não é dada. Nós, metaleiros, sabemos bem o que ‘eles’ perdem com isso e por causa desse programa eu terei a oportunidade de compartilhar música boa. Eu também serei desafiada a mergulhar em gêneros e músicas de outros cantores, como também eles serão ao cantar minha música.

Eu sempre gostei de diversidade e eu terei uma ótima oportunidade de mostrar isso. O programa será gravado em Ibiza na próxima semana e irá ao ar em Agosto na TV holandesa. As redes sociais também serão usadas para isso, então vocês terão a oportunidade de ver, não importando onde você mora nesse lindo planeta!

Floor Jansen: I am proud and happy to announce that I will join the Dutch tv show ‘Best Singers’. This show is all about music and singing and despite the name, has nothing to do with whom is best. 7 Singers participate and we will sing each others music but in our own style.
I think it is great they asked me, as a metalhead, to be a part of this. As you might know about me, I think it is a pity that mainstream media in The Netherlands has avoided ‘our music’ for years and years.

The ‘stigma’ metal makes that many great songs will never be heard by a larger audience. As an ambassador of good music I think that everyone should have excess to more diverse music, and then it is up to the listeners to decide wether they like it or not.

This choice is not offered nowadays. Us metalheads know well what ‘they’ miss out on and because of this tv show I get a chance to share good music. I will also get challenged to dive into the genres and styles of the other singers, as they will be when they sing my music.

I have always enjoyed diversity and I get a great opportunity to show this. The tv show will be recorded on Ibiza this coming week and broadcasted on Dutch tv in August. Social media will be ON it so you will get the chance to see it wherever you live on this beautiful planet!
